WHAT IS VENTURE WORKS:
There are many aspects of starting up a new business by yourself. Business plans, marketing plans, resources, and many more things are often over looked and can cause tragic results for the new venture. All of these go into starting a new business, so why recreate the wheel when it's already been done? Let us help you!

To help avoid these tragic pitfalls, Huntington County United Economic Development Corporation (HCUED) developed Venture Works, an initiative created to establish a collaborative resource center for entrepreneurs that will facilitate the development and growth of new business enterprises.
Venture Works focuses on providing assistance for new business ventures in the Huntington County area. This assistance ranges from providing guidance on developing business and marketing plans, to acquiring start-up capital, to offering low-cost office space and shared services.
Not only does Venture Works facilitate the startup of new business ventures, but it also fosters the development of a new generation of community leaders. By growing locally-owned businesses, more jobs will be created and the wealth that these enterprises create will remain in our region.
Venture Works is located at the Enterprise Resource Center (ERC), on the campus of Huntington University. This allows an entrepreneur easy access to a wide array of resources to help grow their new venture. The staff at the ERC is available to evaluate the essential tools needed for success, and then be able to assist in finding those needed resources.
